Q&A with Dr Tippets:
Why did you get started in kids dentistry?
“I did a rotation in peds while in dental school and my first day I knew this was the exact position for me. It fit like a glove. In addition, who wouldn’t want to have a career that you can joke around with kids all day and watch cartoons?”
What do you like best about our office?
“I love treating all the patients (and most parents, lol). I also love the current team we have. Everyone is optimistic and focused on providing fantastic care for kids. “
When you were a kid, what was your experience at the dentist?
“When I was about 4 years old I was surprised by the first time my dentist wore gloves. It seemed odd at the time but in retrospect it was odd he wasn’t using gloves but that was normal for that time. After that, I had a great dentist while growing up, Dr. Moorehead. I do remember having 12 primary teeth extracted due to orthodontic reasons which was not fun. However, overall I had wonderful dental experiences as a kid.”
What do you do in your spare time?
“Anything and everything. I enjoy the outdoors; sailing, freediving, spearfishing, rod and reel fishing, skiing, snowmobiling, gardening, and just hanging out with my friends.”
What is your favorite board game?
“Candyland- but honestly it’s chess.”
